Sarah and Prav: intimate garden engagement shoot

My clients are amazing. I can honestly say I like every single couple I book weddings with - it's so important to get along with your wedding photographer! But sometimes, my work allows me to connect with people who I feel genuinely lucky to have met. Sarah and Prav are people like that. They have been together for a long time, and have a home and two little kids together - yet, their vibe screams of the butterflies-kind-of-in-love. They just can't seem to stop smiling together! As I was welcomed into Prav's parents' home (you gotta get creative with locations when two kiddies might need your attention during your engagement shoot!) to do their engagement session in the backyard, I noticed it immediately when Prav turned to Sarah and told her quietly how beautiful she looked (actually, I think the exact word was "sexy"... Which, honestly girls, is even better, right?). He could barely take his eyes off her throughout the hour we spent together. These guys are so many things; parents, home-owners, hard-workers, but when they snuggled up in the garden with a glass of bubbles and a blanket, they were just Sarah and Prav. A couple in love. Taking time to be just that is so important!

I had a spiking fever and headache during this shoot, but I ended up being so happy I went anyway - they made my day, just by being awesome (and serving me soothing coffee and a glass of wine - a thousand appreciation-points to them for that). I absolutely can't wait to photograph their warehouse wedding in Melbourne in a few months - I have a feeling it will be the wedding of the season!
